February was the best month I’ve ever had on eBay and I’ve got some cool updates to share with you. I had one of my best sales ever so that boosted my monthly profit nicely. The big sale was a bunch of motorcycle gremlin bells I bought at a yard sale. I had no idea what they were when I bought them but thankfully I showed them to my father in law and he knew what they were.
If I hadn’t had that one sale, I would have only profited $523 for the month. Another interesting bit about this sale is that the buyer is in China! They still haven’t even made it to him yet, but hopefully they will and the sale will be final.
It’s a good feeling to know that I’ve got my eBay store up to a point where it can basically cover our mortgage each month. I only spend around 5-10 hours a week on eBay at this point. The best part about it is that I enjoy doing it! It doesn’t feel like work because I love shopping for new items and learning more about what I can flip for profit.
Update
I want to start an eBay community on Facebook! If you’re interested in this flip life and are on Facebook, join my group. I’m going to start running weekly threads where we can share our best finds of the week as well as our best sales. Even if you don’t sell on eBay, you may find the Facebook group to be interesting.
You can also use this group to ask me any questions you may have. And I mean anything! Personal finance and selling on eBay will be the main focus of the group, but personal finance covers all areas of life so feel free to ask or share whatever you want. I’ve also got plans to start an eBay flipping challenge but need to think more about how that’s going to play out.

This page covers all of my eBay selling knowledge.
This post covers how I list items for the best profit.
Most profitable item sold to date:
Vintage TNT CB radio amp. Total profit: $468.76
Numbers for the month
- Amount of Items sold: 37
- Gross sales: $1076.38
- Cost of goods sold: $80.20
- Profits after all expenses: $899.08
- Average profit per item: $24.30
- Ended the month with a total of 379 listings

To track my numbers, I use a service called Easy Auctions Tracker. Easy Auctions Tracker connects directly to your eBay account and pulls all the fees associated with each sale to show you the true net profit. All you have to do is keep track of what you paid for each item! The best part about it is that it’s only $49.99 for an entire year subscription! This is much cheaper than any other bookkeeping software I’ve seen but more accurate than other options. Sign up through this link.

Thanks Jennifer! Glad you enjoyed!
Your progress on ebay has been absolutely incredible to follow and it is so cool to see a side hustle bringing in some substantial income! Always enjoy reading these posts when they come out!
Thanks Tom! Glad you’ve enjoyed following my progress! It is interesting to see my sales progress although I’m not putting in any more work than I was 4 months ago. Just one big sale like I had this month can bring in an instant $350.
All I can say is “Wow!” Some of your sales are absolutely amazing!
Thanks! It’s a lot of fun to see what kind of treasures I can find!
You are doing exactly what I want to do now that I’m retired. Great prices that you were able to get for things. Gave me some ideas. Thank you
Linda
Hi Linda, glad you got some ideas! I’m sure you’ll do great on eBay as long as you keep at it! Thanks for stopping by!
Hope this isn’t a gimmick site. I really enjoyed seeing the items you had sold on Ebay & look forward to seeing more.
No gimmicks here Mary! Just a regular guy writing about my life 🙂
I am a ebay reseller also. My best profits have been antique dolls. Box of old kewpies bought for $60 at local auction. Made close to $10,000 so far. Ebay fees smh do not make me the happiest. But prifit I love.
Nice going! I’d love to be able to avoid eBay fees also, but that’s just part of the game.
